AVAA C2225

The Active Bass Trap for high-SPL environment.

Designed for home cinemas, clubs and small venues, the AVAA C225 extends PSI Audio’s Active Velocity Acoustic Absorber technology to larger spaces and higher sound pressure levels. Operating from 12 Hz to 130 Hz and capable of handling up to 135 dB SPL, it delivers effective low-frequency absorption where conventional acoustic treatment becomes impractical.

Built for powerful low frequencies

When bass reaches cinema or live sound levels, controlling room modes becomes increasingly difficult. Massive passive bass traps consume valuable space yet often struggle to absorb the lowest frequencies.

The AVAA C225 actively absorbs low-frequency energy without requiring large amounts of porous material. Instead of correcting the signal electronically, it treats the acoustics of the room itself, reducing standing waves, shortening bass decay and improving clarity throughout the listening area.

Whether it’s the impact of a movie soundtrack, the energy of a nightclub or the punch of a live performance, the AVAA C225 helps keep low frequencies controlled, precise and enjoyable.

The most powerful way to control low-frequency Room Modes.

The AVAA C225 is a high-performance active bass absorber for home cinemas, clubs, and small venues where low-frequency energy reaches extreme levels.

It is not a phase-cancellation device.

Operating from 12 Hz to 130 Hz, it is a pressure-based absorber that directly reduces room mode build-up and shortens low-frequency decay—even at very high sound pressure levels up to 135 dB.

  • Pressure-based absorption

The AVAA is pressure based absorber.Whether you have 1 or multiple disturbing room modes, the AVAA C214 will absorb all of these and reduce the resonance time.

  • Multiple room modes, one solution

Whether dealing with a single dominant mode or complex low-frequency build-up, the AVAA C225 reduces resonance time across the entire operating range.
The result is tighter, more controlled and more consistent bass in every listening position.

  • No calibration required

Place the AVAA C225 where low-frequency pressure accumulates. It begins working immediately.

  • No measurement.
  • No tuning.

“Listening to a wide variety of music, with special emphasis on bass test tracks, I again felt the AVAAs C214 made an immediately noticeable difference. The more important point was that the difference was always an improvement. With the AVAAs, bass was better balanced and more natural.”

“These really work!
When I switched in the AVAA traps, space expanded in all dimensions. The crowd was still raucous, but now it was mostly behind me and to my sides. The performers, still up front, were now spread wider than my room, and their individual contributions (voices, guitar, drums) were distinct and full. Finally, I was able to experience the electricity of this event fully and appreciate Seigén Ono’s reputation.”

“Making low frequency mix decisions is often one of the most difficult aspects of music production, and quite often that’s down to the effect of room modes. The AVAA C214 is a technologically advanced, easy to use and brilliantly effective product that provides a neat solution to a genuine need, and in those terms it’s a triumph for PSI Audio.”
