The PSI Audio A23-M is a high-resolution three-way active studio monitor designed for uncompromising accuracy, transparency, and control. Hand-built in Switzerland and individually calibrated, the A23-M delivers a perfectly balanced and phase-coherent sound reproduction for the most demanding professional applications.
Thanks to its true three-way design, the A23-M offers exceptional clarity across the entire frequency spectrum, with precise low-frequency definition, a natural midrange, and detailed yet fatigue-free highs. PSI Audio’s proprietary Adaptive Output Impedance (AOI) and fully analog, phase-accurate crossover ensure outstanding transient response and extremely low distortion – even at higher listening levels.
The A23-M is ideally suited for mid-field monitoring in music production, mixing, mastering, broadcast, and post-production environments where absolute reliability and sonic truth are essential. Its neutral and uncoloured sound allows engineers to make confident decisions that translate seamlessly across all playback systems.

At the heart of the A23-M lies its dedicated midrange driver – the key to exceptionally clear vocal reproduction, accurate instrument separation, and a natural, unforced listening experience. By handling the most critical part of the frequency spectrum independently, the A23-M allows you to hear balance, depth, and detail exactly as they are, enabling confident and repeatable mixing decisions.
Designed to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of professional environments, the A23-M can be positioned vertically or horizontally without compromising its phase accuracy or tonal balance. This flexibility makes it easy to adapt the monitor to different studio layouts, console setups, and acoustic conditions.
With a recommended listening distance of around 1.5 metres, the A23-M performs reliably in small to medium-sized control rooms as well as more compact production spaces. Its controlled directivity and precise imaging ensure consistent results, even in acoustically challenging rooms.

HANDMADE TWEETER + MIDRANGE DRIVER
The handmade tweeter used on the A23-M has already made the success of our biggest 3-way studio monitor, the A25-M.
To achieve the ultimate precision for this compact 3-way, it was also necessary to build our own midrange driver.
After more than 2 years of analyses and development, we are proud to release the current version: the most accurate and transparent mid that you can find on the market.
Tri-powered with our own analogue amps (Class G/H for bass + midrange driver and Class A/B for the tweeter), the A23-M is the top of the art active compact 3-way studio monitor. It is dedicated to music recording, mixing and mastering, broadcast and post production.
Extend the low frequencies and add power
When used with one of our subwoofers, the A23-M transforms into an amazing 4-way system with ultra-precise control on all the frequencies, from the very low end up to the highest notes.
Add our compact Sub A125-M (two units are required to match the maximum SPL of the A23-M) or our full range Sub A225-M.

FLAT RESPONSE
For studio monitors, flatness is fundamental: you don’t want “smiley-face” tuning (e.g. boosted bass and treble) that might sound pleasant but misrepresents the mix. Flat response helps you judge balance, EQ, and spatial placement properly.
INDIVIDUALLY CALIBRATED
Every PSI Audio monitor is individually measured and calibrated in our full-size anechoic chamber.
We fine-tune each unit by hand until it reaches the exact linear frequency response defined in our reference curves.
Your monitor ships with its personal measurement sheet — a unique fingerprint of its precision and a guarantee of uncompromising Swiss-made accuracy.
A23-M vs A25-M
Which one should you choose?
Key Differences:
- Low-frequency extension: The A25-M goes lower (down to 28 Hz) and can play louder overall, making it better suited for larger rooms or main reference systems.
- Driver technology: The A25-M uses PSI Audio’s Extended Dome Driver (EXD) in its midrange for improved performance in detail and linearity.
- Size & power: The A23-M is more compact and lighter, making it better for smaller/mid-sized control rooms while still offering strong headroom.
- Use case: Both are high-precision three-way monitors, but the A25-M sits at the top of PSI Audio’s range with a bit more extension, output and flagship positioning.
Choose the A23-M if:
- Your control room is small to medium and you mix in the 1.2 – 3.5 m range.
- You prioritize compact footprint with big-monitor accuracy and tight low-mid control.
Choose the A25-M if:

Though it can be used for every applications, most of our customers use the A23-M for mixing, producing, mastering or in post production.
